Covid-19 Updates

14 May 2020 - We are reopening!

Tri Star team.

I am happy to let you all know that we are opening again! Information has come through from Sport New Zealand today that confirms we are able to operate multiple groups of no more than 10 in our facility. This is a great outcome for all the athletes, staff and I’m sure parents who are keen to get back to gymnastics.

To ensure that we are able to open our doors in a safe and controlled way we are staggering our opening.

  • Competitive athletes will begin their new timetables from Monday 18 May.
  • GFA athletes will begin their new classes from Monday 25 May.

All previously enrolled members will receive an email from their programme managers shortly confirming the new schedules so keep a look out.

We have new protocols in place to keep everyone safe. Please click the following links below to familiarise yourselves with our new plans:

Alert Level 2 Safety management plan.

All staff, visitors and preschool parents who enter the facility will need to check in using the QR code displayed at the facility. Athletes attending a class will be checked in on the roll at the beginning of their classes.

It has been a fantastic effort from everyone in our online journey, but I’m sure you’re all excited for the move from digital training to physical.
As always. Stay safe. Be kind. Breathe.

13 May 2020 - reopening information

Hello Tri Star team.

We were all geared up and excited to communicate to you our reopening plans today but have had to push pause. There is some confusion in the sports community around guidelines for returning to play for indoor venues. There is conflicting information coming from the Ministry of Health and Sport New Zealand about how our operation is viewed, and what the appropriate parameters are that we should be adhering to.

Gymnastics New Zealand has advised that updated information is coming from Sport New Zealand shortly so we have decided to wait for this clarification before getting our plans out to you all, just in case we need to make changes. I’m sure this is a frustration to you all, and our hope is that our online programme efforts go some way to alleviating any disappointment. We are as keen as you all are the get back to the gym (which, by the way smells the best it ever has with all the deep cleaning we have been doing)!

So hang in there team, we’ll get back in the gym when we are confident we are doing it right.

Stay safe. Be kind, Breathe.

2.30pm 20 March 2020 - Tri Star Closure - Effective Immediately

Hi Tri Star Community,

Given the recent announcement from Auckland Council around Covid-19, we have made the difficult decision to close Tri Star Gymnastics for 2 weeks effective immediately.

If any children are coming directly to the gym from school we will supervise them until they are able to picked up.

We will be in touch early next week with more information around further developments and whether we can operate in any capacity.

If you have any immediate concerns please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Thank you all for your continued support for Tri Star as a club.

We hope to see you again soon.

Kind Regards,

Tri Star Leadership Team
